Cafe Colma Reviews

I've been in the Bay Area my whole life and have always heard about cafe colma/ lucky chances but never got to going around here. Came here on a weeknight and it was still fairly busy. This place is definitely good for late night munchies after drinking or even after concerts since they're open 24 hrs! It's all Filipino food, so the portions are big and filling. We got the silog plates and the kare kare. The kare kare has a peanut sauce to it and is pretty heavy - so it goes good with the garlic rice they have. The marinate pork and longanisa sausages were good! The pork chop was a little dry , but crispy. The place can seat a good amount of people and its average restaurant noise. For sure a good place to have casual dinners and just get your fix of Filipino foods

As many times as I've "checked in", I can't believe I've never left a review. lol We've had several different dishes here, but always tend to order off the Filipino menu. Since we came on a Sunday, it was quite busy and we waited about 15 min for a table. The most recent lunch we ordered kare kare, sisig bangus, lechon kawali & the comsilog (pork chop & tapa). Everything was delicious! Our server was very attentive, always checking on us and refilling our glasses of water. We will be returning soon!

Iykyk this place is a Bay Area staple. I've been to this place so many times and it just crossed my mind, why haven't I reviewed this place yet lol. I came in and ordered the Bansilog combo with tapa as my meat option. The food here is decent. It definitely hits the spot after a night out. The service here comes and goes depending on the day. On most days I've been here, I've received satisfactory service. This restaurant is located inside a casino and the parking can be rough depending what time you visit. All in all this place is one my go to spots after a night out in the city. Try it out if you like!

Thank you for always being open!!! On late hours after a flight, concert, show, movie, happy hour or just being hungry around the area, this place is a good stop before heading home. Comforting filipino food always. Kare Kare good although I would love it more with tripe Kaldereta was also good Sisig ok in taste but did not taste like sisig hahaha it's more like chopped pork barbecue Tocilog - this was surprisingly the worse tocilog I've had. It was ok I guess but the meat did not taste like tocino at all. It's like in between tocino and tapa. It wasn't as sweet as tocino should be and the texture felt like beef tapa but thicker. The fried rice and egg was good though Service is always good! Ambait ni ate! Halo Halo and Turon - I didn't get to taste them but seemed good since there weren't any leftovers

this place is inside Lucky Chances cafe and it is a time capsule of such a homey, 90s diner vibe all from the upholstery on the bar seats, carpet design, music, to the tita's' serving uniforms. this was my first time at cafe colma and it definitely won't be my last - we went in and i saw a mix of both older, younger, and family crowds so i knew this place was a SPOT. as soon as we walked in a server spotted us halfway across the dining area and waved us over to be sat in a 2-person booth immediately. She tossed the menus down at us without saying hi back to me, but honestly couldn't even be mad i was excited to have real filipino food for the first time in a while. we got the bangusilog (milk fish) and tapsilog and just under 8 minutes later the food came out. i devoured the shit in like half that time and my tummy kinda hurt still ngl. but ts was sooo good we even got dessert at the end. he got turon with ube ice cream and i got ginataang bilo bilo (think of a warm dessert stew of tapioca pearls, glutinous rice balls, langka, and taro bits suspended in a condensed milk-like stew...but it's not that sweet!!). i couldn't finish my ginataang but the 2 pieces of turon that nate got were about damn near as long as my forearm. unfortunately they have him the wrong flavor ice cream (mango instead of ube) but he didn't care and it was still good all the same definitely coming back with a group next time
